Dentistry from the Heart Event Date:
SATURDAY, APRIL 26TH, 2014

  • Q. Is it really free?
    A. YES!! Everything is 100% free. We will not ask for insurance information or any form of payment. Our goal is merely to provide you with the dental care you need.

  • Q. Can I make an appointment?
    A. Because the event is on a first come, first serve basis, those wishing to be seen cannot make appointments in advance. Registration will begin at 7:30 AM and doctors will begin seeing the first registered patients at 8:00 AM.

  • Q. What information will I be expected to provide during registration?
    A. As we do with all our patients, we will ask you to fill out a form with basic information: Your name, address, medical history, and what dental problems you may be experiencing.

  • Q. Who will be providing the free care? Are they dental school students?
    A. No, they are not students. All of our volunteers are doctors and dental professionals. Please visit the “staff” section of our website to learn more about the TFD team who will be performing dental procedures during the Dentistry From the Heart event. We will also provide updated links to websites of volunteering Doctors and staff.

  • Q. Can my kids get free dental care too?
    A. We understand your desire to put your children’s needs first, but Dentistry From The Heart was created as a way to give back to adults, 18 years and older,  who are currently unable to afford dental care.

  • Q. What dental care is provided at a Dentistry From The Heart Event?
    A. Dentistry From The Heart event provides ONE free extraction, filling or a cleaning. Given the influx of  people  only these three procedures are possible.

  • Q. What if I need additional dental care?
    A.
Dentistry From The Heart events are not able to provide for all manner of dental care services. However, we recommend that patients requiring additional treatment explore contact with regional free clinics in the area. You can usually get a list of these from your county offices. Another course of action is to contact dental schools in your state.
